JAMESTOWN — Miss Effie Gossett, 86, of Jamestown died at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville Sunday morning. She was born in Lizton to Levi and Elizabeth Parker. She was married to Omer Gossett in 1899 in Hendricks County. She was a member of the Jamestown Christian Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Halcie Wilson of Plymouth, Mrs. Irene Owens of Jamestown and Mrs. Doris Utterback of Crawfordsville; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Louise Gossett and Mrs. Elnora Trent, both of North Salem; a sister, Mrs. Nora Helms of Lizton and a brother, Oder Groover of Lizton; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Walker Funeral Home in Jamestown. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Jamestown. Rev. Jack VanArsdale will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home.
